Gregorios Michailopoulos is the Managing Partner of "MICHAILOPOULOS & ASSOCIATES' law firm. He has substantial experience in providing legal advice and counseling upon Business Law matters.
Greg has consulted and represented many multinational and local business operators, active in several sectors such as infrastructure, energy, consulting, real estate and health, as well as public entities and organisations.
Greg's litigation experience spans to all jurisdictions of Greek Courts and extends as well to the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU), where he pleaded cases related to Public Procurement Law.
From his previous capacity as Head of the Legal Support Unit at the General Secretariat for Investments and Development, attached to the Ministry of Development and Competiveness (2007-2013), Greg has handled many complicated investment plans and co-financed projects and has been involved in the legal fine tuning of many important legal acts related to development and competitiveness issues. He has also served as an Executive Member at the Management Board of the Hellenic Public Real Estate Corporation and has dealt with the management of several delicate public estates.
Greg is author of the books 'Legal Handbook of Contracts' (Dashöfer publication), 'Contracts of Private and Public Law' and 'Contracts of Contemporate Commerce' (Sakkoulas publication) and has been invited by several organisations (e.g. the University of Reading in the UK, the Management Organisation Unit of Development Programmes in Greece) to deliver lectures in several scientific workshops and seminars in the field of Public Procurement, PPPs and State Aid Law.
His significant legal expertise in investment matters coupled with his business-orientated approach and his insightful knowledge of the public sector could be proven to be a significant asset to businesses aiming to invest or expand to Greece.
